Ripoff Report in the Media
Ripoff Report was brought to life in 1997 and since that time Ripoff Report has continued its’ mission to help consumers. Beyond hosting our public interactive forum where consumers can warn other consumers about frauds, scams and rip-offs, Ripoff Report helps warn the general public of questionable situations by responding to media inquiries who are looking for news stories and providing them with information. Many of our efforts have resulted in on camera interviews with employee insiders and with those who have been victimized. The media plays an integral part in helping warn people about frauds, scams and rip-offs.
Ripoff Report continually works with every major television network, nationally and locally, around the globe. Our efforts including assisting shows like 20/20, Dateline, 48 Hours, Inside Edition, 60 Minutes, CNN, Good Morning America, Nightline, NBC Nightly News, ABC World News, CBS Evening News, and pretty much every major local station network affiliate across the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. In fact, we have even helped with information for shows like Jerry Springer! While you may not consider Jerry Springer exactly “news” the fact remains that Ripoff Report had information that they were looking for. We don’t just stop at the televised media though. Ripoff Report has also assisted with just about every major newspaper and magazine from around the world including New York Times, Daily News, Inc. Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Newsday, Miami Herald, Orange County Register, and The Los Angeles Times. Ripoff Report also assists just about every branch of the government, helping consumers to get their money back and to prosecute those ripping off consumers. These agencies include the FBI, FTC, SEC, Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Patrol, US Postal Inspectors, Attorney General’s, HUD, U.S. Department of Justice, Local and Federal Prosecutors, US Treasury, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Australian Queensland Police Service, United Kingdom Ministry of Defence Police, Interpol.
